History

Windwalker Underground Gallery is a 501(c)(3) non-profit art gallery and performance venue in a historic building downtown Charlotte, MI. The building was originally built for Independent Order of the Odd Fellows around 1860. The first floor has been used as a commercial space since, while the upstairs floor was vacant and neglected for several decades until it was purchased by Richard Turbin in 1993. Since his purchase Richard has spent his career restoring the upper floors while utilizing available space for small businesses and residential apartments. The first floor was home to Richard's business 'Windwalker Antiques & Fine Art Gallery' until October 2015 when the business was converted into a non-profit 'Windwalker Underground Gallery
